Our Mission
At Independence Resettlement and Empowerment Services (VRES), we are dedicated to empowering Veterans through resettlement and support services. Our goal is to provide safe and dignified transitional housing, comprehensive support services, and essential financial literacy training to displaced Veterans in Huntsville, Alabama, empowering them to regain independence, secure employment, and sustain permanent housing.
Our Vision
To create a community-based sustainable program that breaks the cycle of homelessness among Veterans by addressing their unique challenges including mental health, substance abuse, employment barriers, and financial skills deficits; and to create a future where every Veteran has access to stable housing and the financial tools necessary to thrive.
